Platt’s Farm Campsite and Bunkhouse

Wales is currently still in lockdown so stays at campsites and bunkhouses are not possible. Something to look forward to in happier times. Whilst Platt’s Farm is currently closed to visitors, Sam is still available to for enquiries on 01248 680105 or you can follow their Facebook page for updates.

And here’s more about this lovely campsite and bunkhouse which is tucked away in the coastal village of Llanfairfechan, near Conwy.

Tucked between the magnificent mountains and stunning coastline of North Wales is Platt’s Farm. Ideally situated at the gateway to Snowdonia, Platt’s Farm Campsite and Bunkhouse is a perfect base for campers, explorers, expedition groups and informal wedding receptions. Set in the grounds of a Grade 2 listed Victorian farm, this excellent family-run establishment is a peaceful haven close to Llanfairfechan’s blue flag sandy beach, local shops, pubs and cafés.

Campers can choose from 11 level pitches spread around two fields – Coed (electric hook-ups for each pitch) and Afon. Each has a large barn for use during your stay and Coed Field also has a dedicated small camper van pitch. Facilities include two shower rooms, two toilets, a covered washing up area, bins, recycling and a large walled garden which is perfect for play, dog walks or just to relax in.

Available all-year-round, Platt’s Farm Bunkhouse is a great alternative to camping. Recently tastefully renovated, its cosy accommodation sleeps up to 10 people in 2 bedrooms. It has a rustic, well-equipped kitchen/living area and a good-sized shower room. Outside there is space for a picnic table, an undercover area perfect for storing bikes and kayaks and parking for up to four cars.

School groups and adventure companies often use Platt’s Farm’s safe, sheltered camping accommodation for students taking part in expeditions and DofE awards; its’ two historic barns are great for both cooking and classroom work. Ideally located on the edge of Snowdonia and alongside the Menai Straits, it is a great base for both mountain and coastal adventures.

And those looking for a venue for an informal wedding or civil partnership reception that’s a little bit different will love Platt’s Farm. Enjoy a relaxed wedding day surrounded by nature. Head to the beach which is only 10 minutes walk away, breakfast in the Victorian Barn, celebrate around a campfire under the stars or enjoy a vintage tea party in the walled garden. Platt’s Farm can be hired exclusively for two night weekends or for a midweek celebration.

Platt’s Farm’s Campsite and Bunkhouse offers a tranquil base from which to explore or celebrate – you will want to come back again and again. Book your 2021 break today.
