With a football-mad son who’s been kicking a ball since he could walk, I’m a committed supporter of local grassroots football. Sport teaches us valuable life lessons, and it’s heartening to see young people thriving through participation, teamwork, camaraderie, and the highs and lows of competitive play.
It’s a pleasure, as Keeping It Local, to be a sponsor of Penmaenmawr Phoenix U15s. For the past two years, Keeping It Local has supported this talented and well-coached team, and, alongside several other local sponsors, we are excited to continue our backing through their U15 and U16 seasons—and hopefully beyond.
These young players show up for training and matches, rain or shine, giving their best effort each week. It’s truly a privilege to be part of their journey and watch them develop into skilled, resilient footballers. I hope they’ll carry their love for the game with them for many years to come.
PPFC
Penmaenmawr Phoenix Football Club (PPFC) is going from strength to strength. Platinum-accredited by the FAW, with 18 teams playing regularly, it has firmly established itself as a cornerstone of the local community. In addition to its men’s first team, development squad, and veterans’ team, the club boasts a senior women’s recreational team, three girls’ teams, and eleven junior boys’ teams — meaning over 140 young players regularly enjoy competitive sport and training at Cae Sling. Run by volunteers, it is extraordinary how much hard work goes on behind the scenes to make the club successful.
Adding to the club’s achievements, its ground, Cae Sling, has been selected as a 2026 UEFA U19s Euros training venue. This prestigious accolade will bring significant investment into the ground’s infrastructure, making for even more exciting times ahead!
About Keeping It Local
Keeping It Local helps trades, small businesses, and community organisations across North Wales get their services and products listed online. Our goal is simple: to help your business rank well on search engines like Google, the go-to for many customers when looking for information.
Listing on Keeping It Local boosts your visibility on search engines like Google, Bing, Ecosia, and DuckDuckGo. While social media is useful, it also has limitations in terms of audience and reach. Adding your business to Keeping It Local will expand your online presence, helping you reach a wider audience and connect with your customers.
